Alison is our Home-School Tutoring Area Advisor for Hertfordshire. She is a qualified teacher of Mathematics and, having enjoyed her own schooling immensely, has always been enthusiastic to teach others. She enjoys helping her pupils to enjoy their learning, to build their confidence and to progress in their education.

She taught in Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage before having children, and then tutored through Home-School Tutoring for eighteen months before becoming their Area Advisor for Hertfordshire.

Alison is married to Francis and they have two children. They enjoy family time, going to the park, days out and especially holidays in their caravan. Alison is an active member on the committees of the pre-school and PTA.

Alison enjoys being the Area Advisor for Hertfordshire and knows the area well. She has many excellent tutors on her Home-School register, and always welcomes new tutors too. She is happy to help and will always do her best to fulfil your tutoring requests and educational needs. Do make contact and she will be pleased to help.

Each Home-School Tutoring Area seeks experienced, qualified teachers and graduates who can be available as tutors. Enjoy seeing your pupils develop confidence and make progress.

We aim for high standards

We particularly need more primary school teachers for special educational needs and basic numeracy and literacy and more teachers of Mathematics, English and Sciences at GCSE and Advanced Level but ALL tutors are welcome. Do join us!
