Dr Yvonne Birch

Hello! I am the Area Advisor for Lincolnshire and it is very exciting for me to be able to bring Home-School Tutoring to this area!

Apply to join our team of tutors in Lincoln and throughout Lincolnshire

As a new Associate Business of Home-School Tutoring UK (established in 1984), we are now looking actively for more outstanding tutors in all subjects to join our team in this area. Please give me a call or drop me an email if you are interested in joining us or finding out more. My contact details are above.

Support for all learning and educational needs

My background in education spans more than 30 years as a teacher, tutor, examiner, advisor and headteacher. I have taught in state and independent schools as well as home-schooled one of my own children for a while. My own speciality is maths (at all levels and for all ages) and I am passionate in helping pupils enjoy their learning.

With our growing team of tutors in this region, we plan to be able to offer tutoring for all subjects, levels and ages. We will be able to recommend tutors for pupils who struggle and need confidence with their learning; tutors for pupils who love to aim for the heights of excellence; and tutors for exam preparation, whether students are taking subject exams or entrance exams.  All tutors will encourage and support pupils to build confidence and the love of learning.

Understanding individual needs

We learn most effectively when we are relaxed and engaged, and an excellent tutor will understand how to achieve these learning conditions for each individual pupil. It is always a great pleasure to identify the best tutor to meet the specific learning needs of an individual pupil.

My philosophy in education is summed up by the quote: “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”

Hello! It is very exciting for me to be able to bring Home-School-Tutoring into Lincolnshire. As a new Area, we will be looking actively for outstanding tutors in all subjects to join our team. Please give me a call or drop me an email if you are interested in joining us or finding out more.

My background in education spans more than 30 years as a teacher, tutor, examiner, Advisor and Headteacher. I have taught in state and independent schools and home-schooled one of my own children for a while. My philosophy in education is summed up by the quote: “Education is not preparation for life: Education is life itself.” We learn most effectively when we are relaxed and engaged and an excellent tutor will understand how to achieve these learning conditions for each individual pupil.

I currently work as a tutor and specialise in maths at all levels. My pupils range from year 6 to adult. Most are in full-time education whilst others are home-schooled or in need of GCSE maths to access college courses.

It is always a great pleasure to identify the best tutor to meet the specific learning needs of an individual pupil. Please contact me to chat through the support your child needs so that we can match up a perfect tutor.

Each Home-School Tutoring Area seeks experienced, qualified teachers and graduates who can be available as tutors. Enjoy seeing your pupils develop confidence and make progress.

We aim for high standards

As a self-employed tutor you are rewarded well for your tuition both in terms of remuneration and in satisfaction. You are valued by our organisation and by your clients.

We particularly need more primary school teachers for special educational needs and basic numeracy and literacy and more teachers of Mathematics, English and Sciences at GCSE and Advanced Level but ALL tutors are welcome. Do join us!
