Clare is an English Literature graduate and has fifteen years’ experience as a qualified teacher. She spent four years of her career in Peru and that very much opened her eyes to the opportunities her vocation offers and the difference that good teaching makes to individual lives.

Clare has a clear understanding of the invaluable support that tuition gives to students of all ages and abilities and she is passionate about helping each individual receive personally-tailored tuition.

As a mum of two, becoming an Area Advisor for Home-School Tutoring has been a challenge and given her the flexibility to enjoy motherhood to the full, whilst continuing her passion for teaching. With her husband John and their children, they have fun walking, swimming and camping. She also loves cooking, gardening and looking after her hens! Clare is a board member of her local nursery committee and enjoys being involved in fund-raising.

Each Home-School Tutoring Area seeks experienced, qualified teachers and graduates who can be available as tutors. Enjoy seeing your pupils develop confidence and make progress.

We aim for high standards

As a self-employed tutor you are rewarded well for your tuition both in terms of remuneration and in satisfaction. You are valued by our organisation and by your clients.

We particularly need more primary school teachers for special educational needs and basic numeracy and literacy and more teachers of Mathematics, English and Sciences at GCSE and Advanced Level but ALL tutors are welcome. Do join us!
