Andrew Murray is our Home-School Tutoring Area Advisor for the East Devon and West Somerset areas. Andrew himself is a qualified teacher of Mathematics with 30 years experience of teaching and has gained good results in Comprehensive, Grammar and Special Schools.
Andrew has also spent a considerable time doing private tuition and has obtained excellent results in GCSE and A levels for his pupils. He is the Examination Officer in his present school and in the past has been a Head Teacher.

He is married to Susan and they have two grown up daughters. He is a keen gardener and walker and also takes an active part in his local church.

Andrew is very pleased to welcome new tutors to join his register – particularly experienced teachers or those with tutoring experience. He is very receptive to the needs of students and their ambitions and to the concerns of parents. Either Andrew or Susan will answer the phone and they will, after careful deliberation, choose the most appropriate tutor from their growing register of tutors in the area.

We aim for high standards

We particularly need more primary school teachers for special educational needs and basic numeracy and literacy and more teachers of Mathematics, English and Sciences at GCSE and Advanced Level but ALL tutors are welcome. Do join us!
