Lucy Billington is the Area Advisor for this region and heads up the team of  Bath and Bristol tutors.   She is seeking excellent teachers and tutors to join her team of skilled, committed educators who want to personally help and encourage children and students  of all ages with their learning.

Lucy writes :  ” I feel really privileged to be getting involved with such a lovely organisation which seeks to provide caring, personal support to  learners of all ages, for all subjects and with different needs.  We aim to be able to offer you good, qualified and experienced tutors who will work alongside you with support , encouragement and guidance.

I live in this area and I have been a Primary school teacher for 15 years, in both the state and independent sector, as well as having experience of tutoring several students across the age and ability range.

My own specialism is in special needs work and I have qualifications in dyslexia and speech and language difficulties.  I am also working towards a Master’s in Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a particular area of interest.

I am passionate about enabling all children and older students to reach their potential and I love getting to know my pupils so that I can tailor their tuition to their own learning styles and interests.  In this way, I can help to reduce obstacles to their learning and make their lessons more enjoyable – which is the best way to maximise their progress !

In my new role  as Area Advisor and  Associate of Home-School Tutoring , I look forward to engaging with parents, students, schools and teachers and providing  great tuition for whatever you need; helping children to overcome learning difficulties; exam preparation ( entrance exams, 11-plus, GCSE or A level ) and raising attainment levels of all  pupils, through my committed team of tutors. ”

Message to Teachers , Tutors and Graduates : We need good tutors to help pupils grow in confidence with all their various subjects , and in particular English, Maths , Science subjects, basic literacy and numeracy.

We also need  tutors for examination prep or entrance exams, including Common Entrance, GCSE and A level subjects.

Please either contact me, Lucy, (see above) or use  the Become a Tutor form or click the RED TAB opposite. We will then be able to send you more details and the full Registration Form.

We really look forward to welcoming tutors in readiness for this tutoring service to be offered fully throughout Bath and Bristol.   Thank you !
