Hello! It is very exciting for me to head up Home-School-Tutoring in Cambridgeshire. Currently we are seeking to expand our tutor base and we are actively seeking outstanding tutors in all subjects to join our team. Please call me or drop me an email if you are interested in joining us and would like to find out more.

We seek tutors for all subjects and levels who are qualified and experienced and who give of their best to tutor the many students who request our help. Tutors will support and encourage confidence in their pupils ; this may be additional tutoring to support and enhance the education received in school or college, or it may be home-schooled pupils. It could be to help in the preparation for examinations or to patiently help a child with learning difficulties grow more confident and enjoy learning at their own pace.

My background in education spans more than 30 years as a teacher, tutor, examiner, Advisor and Headteacher. I have taught in state and independent schools and home-schooled one of my own children for a while. My philosophy in education is summed up by the quote: “Education is not preparation for life: Education is life itself.” We learn most effectively when we are relaxed and engaged and an excellent tutor will understand how to achieve these learning conditions for each individual pupil.

I currently work as a tutor myself, as well as running this Area of Home-School Tutoring and I personally specialise in maths at all levels. My pupils range from year 6 to adult. Most are in full-time education whilst others are home-schooled or in need of GCSE maths to access college courses.

It is always a great pleasure to identify the best tutor to meet the specific learning needs of an individual pupil. Please contact me to chat through the support your child needs so that we can match up a suitable tutor. In fact, the more you can tell us about your needs, the better we can meet your requirements.

You may be sure that all the tutors on the register have been DBS and reference checked.

Cambridgeshire has its challenges in terms of the distance between the major towns, where most tutors are situated. It can be helpful to take a flexible approach and consider online tutoring and telephone support in addition to face-to-face sessions. It may also be helpful to consider a two-hour session on a less frequent basis as opposed to an hour at a time.

We trust your experience of Home-School Tutoring will be positive and prove an invaluable educational support. Thank you !

Each Home-School Tutoring Area seeks experienced, qualified teachers and graduates who can be available as tutors. Enjoy seeing your pupils develop confidence and make progress.

We aim for high standards

As a self-employed tutor you are rewarded well for your tuition both in terms of remuneration and in satisfaction. You are valued by our organisation and by your clients.

We particularly need more primary school teachers for special educational needs and basic numeracy and literacy and more teachers of Mathematics, English and Sciences at GCSE and Advanced Level but ALL tutors are welcome. Do join us!
