Sue Evans is our Home-School Tutoring Area Advisor for all Derbyshire including Chesterfield, The Dales, National Forest/ Derby area itself. Sue is a well-qualified English teacher with experience of all sectors of education. She is also an examiner for two of the examination boards, as well as a part-time supply teacher.
Sue is passionate about tutoring as she finds it develops confidence and enables students to reach their full potential. Her husband, Richard, also tutors in science subjects and finds it really worthwhile.
Sue’s other interest and ‘specialist subject’ is growing orchids. She also volunteers at Twycross Zoo (helping the visitors, not the animals!). Both she and Richard also enjoy dog walking and birdwatching in her own local region, the National Forest.
In her Home-School Tutoring role, Sue is dedicated to helping each student with their individual needs and ambitions. When you phone this area, either she or Richard will answer the phone. They maintain a growing register of qualified and empathetic tutors for all subjects and levels, all well experienced to help with your needs.
