Home-School Tutoring in Manchester and Cheshire
Our Manchester (South) region is a large one that covers many areas within Greater Manchester and Cheshire. If you are looking for local tutors in the Greater Manchester/Cheshire area, please take a look at the ‘Areas Covered’ section to the right to see if your postcode is included.
To cater for all the schools falling within this area, our widespread team of home tutors offer a range of skills and specialisms, working with pupils of all ages from primary through to secondary school as well as students in further education in sixth form or college.
Our private tutors work with pupils from state schools and public/independent schools as well as pupils attending or applying to Trafford grammar schools. If your child needs help preparing for an entrance exam, our experienced personal tutors can provide invaluable support.
We also provide individual tuition to students attending the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan and other higher education institutions as well as adult learners, both at home and in the workplace.
Individual tutoring for all subjects and skill sets
Alison’s register of teachers and qualified tutors covers a wide range of subjects and levels.
In the Manchester area, our English, maths and science tutors are the most frequently requested but we also support students with a wide range of curriculum and non-curriculum subjects, including history, geography, French, German, Spanish, computing, music and business.
One-to-one tutoring for GCSEs and A Level subjects, as well as for general revision and exam skill development, can dramatically improve results.
We also offer literacy and numeracy support for children and adults, and have a number of SEN specialists in Manchester and Cheshire working with pupils with dyslexia and learning difficulties.
If you have chosen to home educate your child, we are also very happy to support you with private lessons in your required subjects.
Tripled checked tutors
Before any tutor is allowed to join our register, Home-School Tutoring checks qualification certificates, follows up references and waits for results from an enhanced DBS criminal record check.
Once these checks have been completed, and a tutor has demonstrated their commitment to our aims and standards, they can then begin tutoring.
