Please contact Tricia, the Area Advisor who heads up the team of tutors in this region and she will personally do her best to help you with whatever subject or level of tutoring you are considering.
Tutors based across South Yorkshire
As well as Sheffield and the larger towns, this region of HST works with students from Barnsley, Stocksbridge, Mexborough, Wath-upon-Dearne and towns and villages throughout South Yorkshire.
We have maths and English tutors working alongside pupils from many schools, with our science tutors also being in high demand ( Biology, Physics and Chemistry). We provide one-to-one tuition and small group tuition to primary level and secondary level students for ongoing support and in preparation for GCSEs and A levels.
Other of our specialist tutors help prepare many pupils for the 11-plus to gain places at the thriving and oversubscribed grammar schools in South Yorkshire.
Tutoring for all levels and subjects
We find that many pupils find progress a struggle and have learning difficulties which can make keeping up with schoolwork very difficult for them. With our patient and encouraging tutors , we know that we can really help anyone with learning difficulties to build their confidence as they grow in their understanding and progress. It is so fulfilling for us, as people who love education and its results, to be able to see the difference in these pupils’ well-being. Special needs support tutors, including dyslexia specialists, can work with pupils of all ages, including adults.
A growing number of pupils are being home -schooled and if your child is home-educated in this region then we also have home tutors available to support you.
Whatever subject or level you need, just ask and Tricia will do her best to find you an experienced local tutor who can help. ( and here is a message to qualified and experienced teachers and good graduate tutors : we would love to welcome more tutors to join the team.)
