Sarah Jones Home School Tutoring

We provide effective, supportive, bespoke tuition either face-to-face or online.

Our fully vetted, qualified and experienced teaching professionals are on hand to assist with your, or your child’s, learning. We provide effective tuition for all subjects, abilities and ages, from Early Years Foundation Stage up to Degree level qualifications. We can also help with Entrance Examinations (9+, 11+ and 13+) and Home Schooling.  We create individually tailored lessons and our goal is that our tuition sessions are engaging, encouraging and enjoyable in order to accelerate progress. We can do assessments alongside tuition as well as provide progress reports and self-study resources.

    Hello, I am Sarah and I’m the Home-School Tutoring area advisor and tutor manager for Hertfordshire. My husband Matt works closely alongside me as part of the team at Home-School Tutoring Hertfordshire. I have worked in Education for 13 years as a teacher and more recently as a Headteacher. Matt spent 13 years working in a private school within Hertfordshire. We are both passionate about education and ensuring all children are given the support to allow them to be successful and to reach their potential. 

    We have both lived in Hertfordshire for over 28 years and so know the area and schools well. Over the years I have seen first-hand what a huge impact tuition can have on children’s confidence and progress.

    At Home-School Tutoring Hertfordshire we have an excellent team of talented tutors which we carefully match to the needs of the individual seeking tuition. We are committed to ensuring that all children and young people are given the opportunities to reach their full potential. We have a wide range of experience with supporting children with special educational needs, learning difficulties or English as an additional language.

    Safeguarding our learners and tutors is very important to us and all of our tutors have DBS Enhanced Certificates and excellent references. We are able to offer 1-1 sessions, small groups as well as offer support to pupils who are being home-educated.

    Maths and English Tutors GCSE and AS/A2 Tutoring

    We are looking to recruit Maths and English GCSE and AS/A2 tutors in the Herts area, we welcome QTS qualified teachers in these subjects. We can offer a range of local assignments and competitive hourly rates of pay.

    We are also looking to recruit teachers with experience in 11+ and secondary entrance exam preparation.
