Andrew Murray is our Home-School Tutoring Area Advisor for both the Somerset and Devon . Andrew himself is a qualified teacher of mathematics with 30 years’ experience of teaching in which he has gained good results in comprehensive, grammar and special schools.

Andrew has also spent a considerable time providing private tuition and has obtained excellent results in GCSE and A Levels for his pupils.

He is also the examination officer in his present school and in the past has been a head teacher.

Andrew is married to Susan and they have two grown-up daughters. He is a keen gardener and walker and also takes an active part in his local church.

Andrew is very pleased to welcome new tutors to join his register – particularly experienced teachers or those with tutoring experience. Tutors are needed to work in both Devon and Somerset so if you are a suitably qualified tutor please do get in touch.

Many of our tutors have more time now as the exams are over so anybody needing extra help or tuition over the summer stands a good chance of finding a tutor available to tutor Mathematics, English, Science, Geography, History, French, Spanish or any other subject that they require ranging from Latin to Arabic!

There are many opportunities for revision courses over the summer and some people are already taking this up. We can provide help with all ages and levels including all the Key stages from Primary to Secondary up to A Levels and beyond. We have several Home Tutoring packages either starting or carrying on and people wanting coaching for the 11 plus. Adults have needed help with passing the QTS tests and Army tests as well as IT courses but all our tutors can help all ages in their varied subjects.
