Welcome to the page for Home-School Tutoring Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest. My name is Rebecca Hebditch and I am the Area Advisor for this region. I have a team of qualified, enthusiastic and specialist tutors registered in this region and we are ready to help you.
About me: I am a fully qualified teacher with more than fifteen years’ experience of education and tuition. My husband and I have one little girl and I have lived in this area for most of my life and so I am very familiar with the region and with many schools and teachers in the area. I have always loved teaching and giving tuition. It is an opportunity to build confidence, foster enjoyment of learning and inspire pupils to be the best that they can be.
As tutors, we particularly love one-to-one teaching where the scope for changing a pupil’s negative feelings for a subject is so great. Witnessing the joy a pupil experiences when they realise they can do something that they often have been struggling with for a long time, is a thrill that few other occupations can provide.
The beauty of one-to-one tuition is the ability to be totally flexible; my team and I are able to meet a learner wherever they are on their learning journey, break down individual barriers to learning and foster a new-found confidence in their place. All of my team have undergone thorough checks to ensure that they are adequately qualified and experienced for the task in hand. They all hold an enhanced DBS check and are insured for the work they are undertaking.
Home-School Tutoring Bournemouth, Poole and New Forest would be delighted to support your child or young person through their educational journey by offering bespoke, one-to-one tuition wherever they need support the most. Our support is not limited to young people either; adults wishing to further their own learning are also very welcome to get in touch with us for tuition. Our excellent team of tutors can, between them, offer tuition from Early Years Foundation Stage right through to A-levels and beyond in a wide range of subject areas. We also can help with entrance exams, with special educational needs and with English as an additional language. Just ask about any particular tutoring help needed. We offer face-to-face tuition in a range of settings from a pupil’s home to schools, other educational establishments and other organisations. We are also able to offer online tuition where this is more practical or preferred.

Tutoring in all subjects for all levels
We have qualified, supportive tutors to help children, students or adults, whether the need is for additional learning help in numeracy or literacy, or preparation for particular exams in various subjects. Or the tutoring may be for an adult who wants to expand their learning and take a new subject.
We aim to offer tutoring in as many subjects and levels as possible. Whichever tuition subject you would like help with, please ask!
The full list of the subjects and levels we aim to always offer can be found under the Main Menu , 'What we do' , where subjects and levels are listed, but here is a brief summary :
- Literacy and numeracy: primary and secondary levels, 11+, 13+ and adults
- Functional skills
- Independent schools’ entry tests, grammar school entry tests, Common Entrance preparation
- Special needs and learning difficulties – for pupils of all ages
- SATs, GCSEs, IGCSEs, AS levels, A levels, university application assistance.
We have experienced tutors who love to tutor their own specialist subjects, including:
- English language and literature
- Maths (all levels) including further maths
- Science including biology, physics, chemistry
- Languages: French, Spanish, German, Latin, Chinese
- History, geography
- Business studies, computing.
