Hello, we are Matt and Sarah and we are the Home-School Tutoring area advisors for Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
Sarah has worked in Education for 14 years as a teacher, Deputy Headteacher and as a Headteacher. Matt spent 13 years working in a private school within Hertfordshire and now works as a Behaviour Lead in a Special Needs School. We are both passionate about education and ensuring all children are given the support to allow them to be successful and to reach their potential.
We have both lived locally for over 28 years and so know the area well. Over the years I have seen first-hand what a huge impact tuition can have on children’s confidence and progress.
At Home-School Tutoring Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes we have an excellent team of talented tutors which we carefully match to the needs of the individual seeking tuition. We are committed to ensuring that all children and young people are given the opportunities to reach their full potential. We have a wide range of experience with supporting children with special educational needs, learning difficulties or English as an additional language.
Safeguarding our learners and tutors is very important to us and all of our tutors have DBS Enhanced Certificates and excellent references. We are able to offer 1-1 sessions, small groups as well as offer support to pupils who are being home-educated.

Tutoring in all subjects and all levels
We aim to offer tutoring in as many subjects and levels as possible. For all ages and levels. Please ask!
Sarah and Matt ensure that the private tutors registered with Home-School Tutoring in Buckinghamshire understand the schooling system here and the differences between Milton Keynes and the rest of the county, since Milton Keynes doesn’t have a grammar school system.
Tutoring is provided for students from secondary schools across the county, such as Shenley Brook End and Ousedale in Milton Keynes, Aylesbury Grammar and Sir Henry Floyed in Aylesbury, RGS High Wycombe, and Stowe School and the Royal Latin in Buckingham, as well as students from:
- Primary schools
- Independent schools / entrance exams
- Colleges
- Universities
- Adult education
- Home-Schooled pupils or those having home education for a short period
All subjects can be offered in each area at all key stages, including for: primary level, entrance exams, SATs, the Common Entrance, GCSE, A level and pre-university or undergraduate level.
Sarah and Matt also has a team of experienced and qualified Special Needs tutors in Buckinghamshire whom are passionate about helping students find enjoyment in learning. They understand the challenges that are faced with special needs and aim to reduce these obstacles with patient and supportive tuition tailored to their needs.
