Welcome to Home-School tutoring Hampshire West & Central
My name is Kate and I am the Area Director for this region. I lead a carefully selected network of highly qualified and experienced tutors providing exceptional one-to-one tuition across Hampshire West & Central.
With over 24 years' experience in education, both in the classroom and as a tutor, I bring extensive knowledge of the curriculum and the demands placed on students at every stage. I have worked in state and independent schools and spent seven years teaching in the UAE. Having grown up in the New Forest and lived in Central Hampshire for many years, I am proud to support families within the community I call home.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to building confidence. Academic success is important, but genuine progress begins with self-belief. We take time to understand each learner, ensuring they feel supported, capable and motivated to achieve their full potential.
Our tutors provide expert support across all key stages, including SATs, 11+ and entrance examinations, GCSE and A-level preparation, and vocational qualifications. We also offer specialist support for learners with SEND and those requiring tailored academic or confidence-building support.
Every programme of tuition is bespoke. We carefully match each student with a tutor who not only meets their academic needs but also suits their personality and learning style. Whether you are seeking a GCSE tutor, A-level tuition, primary support or specialist SEND tuition, we aim to deliver a service that is both personalised and professional.
All tutors are fully vetted, hold enhanced DBS certification and appropriate insurance, and are selected for both their expertise and their commitment to high standards.
We offer face-to-face tuition in the home, in schools and educational settings, as well as high-quality online tuition where preferred. We support children, young people and adults.

Whatever tutoring subject or learning need you have , if you ask us, we do our best to find and recommend a good and suitable tutor to you. Many enquiries we receive are very specific. That's fine!

A full 'practice examination run is offered and this will help your child before they sit the test. Contact us to help with this preparation.
We could do with some more wonderful, qualified tutors in Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester or Andover, Romsey or Chandlers Ford
We would be delighted to welcome more tutors to our team. English, maths and sciences are in the greatest demand, alongside exam preparation (largely 11+ and KS2 SATs but we get requests for all areas of the curriculum from YR to adult).
We have both daytime work (we work with schools, hospitals, theatres and fostering agencies as well as the Home Education community) and evening/weekend and school holiday work.

"The process from the offset has been simple, straight forward, friendly and professional. Initially I sent an enquiry to ascertain whether this would be appropriate for our student and we were able to explore our requirements, and the requirements for the child. The time taken to explore these requirements enabled a match to be made that was appropriate.
From the initial consultation, I was able to discuss our requirements and the individual needs of the child. This enabled a full picture of what support was required, and various tutors and their background and expertise were shortlisted and I felt involved in this process throughout. When we agreed on our tutor, originally for a short period of time, this took place in person. With circumstances resulting in tutoring needing to continue for longer than anticipated, they have been accommodating and professional again and been flexible in accommodating our requirements.
The sessions have been engaging and child centred, taking into account the child's personal interests, and an enriching personalised curriculum has been created. The adaptability demonstrated due to the requirement to move to virtual sessions due to COVID 19 has resulted in continued support for the child which is just as high quality as that which was delivered in person.
