We provide effective, supportive, bespoke tuition either face-to-face or online.

Our fully vetted, qualified and experienced teaching professionals are on hand to assist with your, or your child’s, learning. We provide effective tuition for all subjects, abilities and ages, from Early Years Foundation Stage up to Degree level qualifications. We can also help with Entrance Examinations (9+, 11+ and 13+) and Home Schooling.  We create individually tailored lessons and our goal is that our tuition sessions are engaging, encouraging and enjoyable in order to accelerate progress. We can do assessments alongside tuition as well as provide progress reports and self-study resources.

    I'm Annalise and your Area Director and Tutor Manager for the Isle of Wight. ( I also run one of the Hampshire areas as well).

    I'm an experienced teacher and Head Teacher. Most of my career has been as a Head Teacher in Alternative Provision Schools including Gloucestershire Hospital Education Service. In this setting we worked mainly individually with children in hospital and in the homes. I loved this role and seeing the difference that personalised learning made to our learners. I am equally as passionate about our tutoring through Home-School Tutoring. We work with parent/carers who request private tuition as well as with schools, councils and Local Authorities. I really enjoy seeing the progress in all my students and watch them gain confidence in their learning. 

    I strongly believe that ALL children have the ability to reach and fulfil their potential and I love being part of making this happen. My experience of teaching and tutoring, enables me to manage my team of tutors effectively, give advice and match the tutors with pupils.

    I have an exceptional register of local tutors who are also passionate about finding fulfilment in learning. They are experienced and supportive to all who need educational help – whatever the subject or level.

    One extra thing to mention is that my mother (Margaret Sweetland) was the founder of Home-School Tutoring and this is one of the first areas she first started with. I grew up in Hill Head, Hampshire and we had views of the Isle of Wight from upstairs in our house and loved visiting it. So running this business again feels a bit like coming home. I am also the Managing Director of Home-School Tutoring UK.
