Hello, my name is Kim. Thank you for visiting my page on our website and I hope I can help with your enquiry.
I am the Home-School Tutoring Area Director for Northamptonshire. I have worked in education since 2005 where I started off as a cover-supervisor, and then I qualified as a teacher of English in 2007. I began my career at a local secondary school. Here, I learned the real art of effectively communicating the information that students needed to know, but also making connections through my work in the classroom, as a lead for Gifted and Talented students and also as a Head of Year. I founded Home-School Tutoring Northamptonshire in November 2014 and it has been my absolute pleasure to have guided so many students through their studies during this time.
At Home-School Tutoring Northamptonshire, we have an excellent and ever-growing team of superb tutors which we carefully match to the needs of the tuition enquiry. It may be an hour a week of extra support to assist the understanding of what students are learning in school; it could be a flexi-schooling arrangement or it might be a fully-fledged home-education support package. Every enquiry is important.
Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment are paramount to what we do here, so you can rest assured that we follow a strict tutor recruitment policy. Furthermore, all tutors are: DBS checked; subscribed to the update service; have qualification and reference checks; teacher prohibition checks and access to two Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
As a parent myself, I fully understand the feeling of wanting to do the best thing for your children when it comes to their education, because it opens so many doors further down the line. With that in mind, if you are looking for a tutor who can make a genuine difference, I can honestly say we are a compassionate, empathetic, friendly and approachable team with a wealth and breadth of experience in all kinds of areas: from SEN to EAL and all that’s in between. Please do get in touch.
Best wishes,
Kim.
