Jake is our Area Advisor for the Oxfordshire Branch of Home-School Tutoring. He believes strongly in personal tuition as a positive encouragement on a one-to-one basis to individual pupils.

Jake himself is an experienced tutor of Science from GCSE to Advanced levels, having undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in marine biology. He enjoys tutoring and relates well to his pupils, striving to nurture each pupil’s ability. His background enables him to give detailed and knowledgeable explanation to the students he tutors.

Jake is married to Tory and they have two daughters. He is also a keen gardener and sportsman and plays football and cricket for local Oxfordshire teams.

Both Jake and his PA for Home-School Tutoring - Carolyn Watson - will be pleased to help you with your tutoring enquiries. Carolyn deals with the day-to-day running of the office; she will mostly answer the phone, liaise with parents and tutors and arrange the tutorials.
